Revive’s Pantry Appeal

June 2012 saw the launch of Revive’s Pantry Appeal, which aims to prevent surplus new, branded household goods from going to waste sites by offering them to local homes instead.

Working with the national Inkind Charity and Derby businesses, Revive’s Pantry Appeal has been set up to re-direct good quality surplus or discontinued stock from businesses to families, carers and mums-to-be in Derwent who need a little extra help from time to time.

The Appeal has secured a wide variety of new, branded children’s equipment and household items from the Inkind Charity – everything from washing detergent to duvet covers, children’s books to toddlers’ toys.

The items are available to Derwent residents who are in receipt of key state benefits.  Residents can access the services by picking up a form from the Revive Centre and making an appointment.

As part of its fund-raising activities, Revive would like to work with local businesses that can either donate funds or items to the Pantry Appeal that can be distributed into the community.
