Our Place

Our Place was a project funded by the Big Lottery to help residents in Derwent to apply for jobs, learn new skills and reduce social isolation. The project opened on the 7th April 2015 and was wound down in November 2019.

Job Club

In February 2020 the Job Club reopened thanks to funding from Futures & ESF. Since then its been funded by the Tudor Trust and Trusthouse Charitable Foundation, and currently receives funding just from the Tudor Trust. 

It offers a very flexible programme of personalised support and guidance that is tailored to specific needs.

We offer help on the journey towards work with job searching, CV creation, online courses, job applications, interview skills, work experience  and researching apprenticeships. We help people at all levels and experience.

Eligible Learners must be:
Living in Chaddesden, Oakwood or Spondon
Over 16 (there is no upper age limit)
Have the right to live and work in the UK
