April Update
As we come out of winter, the warmer weather is at long last with us. Whilst this is welcome, we have seen a 54% increase in energy bills and weekly increases in food. This is having a devastating effect on households and we are seeing increases in working parents asking for help. Whilst this is a worrying trend, thanks to everyone that has donated to this campaign, we have been able to:
- Provide energy top ups for those without energy – or in emergency
- Shopping vouchers
- Heated throws for people living with a life limiting illnesses
With so many people struggling, the price of groceries continuing to increase and rumours of a further £1k increase in energy bills from October, we are now focussed on preparing for this winter.
